Susan Barker, M.Ed., APC, NCC

Susan Barker, MEd, APC, is a graduate of Augusta University with a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Susan has been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy to treat Trauma, PTSD, and Anxiety. She is experienced in using a Strength-Based and Client-Centered approach. Susan helps by empowering clients to develop self-trust, embrace authenticity, overcome fear, and regain control of their lives. This is accomplished by building self-awareness, identifying strengths & values, challenging limiting beliefs, setting goals, taking action, managing fear & anxiety, and practicing self-compassion. Susan is passionate about working with teens & adults who've experienced childhood abuse and neglect, and individuals who are anxious over-achievers, driven, and high performers. She is supervised by Adebayo Onabule, EdS, LPC, CPCS.
