McKenzie earned her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Augusta University. As a person-centered therapist, she is dedicated to providing a supportive, empathetic space where clients feel truly heard and understood, guided by unconditional positive regard. Passionate about empowering individuals, McKenzie helps clients explore and navigate their unique paths to personal growth and self-discovery.

McKenzie specializes in trauma, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and interpersonal/relationship issues. She has received training in EMDR, TF-CBT, ACT, Gottman Method, and CBT. McKenzie takes an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from various modalities to meet clients exactly where they are in their journey.

With significant experience working with survivors of abuse, McKenzie creates a safe and compassionate environment that fosters healing, empowerment, and recovery. She also works with couples using the Gottman Method to improve communication, strengthen emotional bonds, and cultivate healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

McKenzie enjoys working with teenagers, adults, and couples. She is committed to respecting their autonomy while fostering a collaborative therapeutic relationship that facilitates meaningful change.

McKenzie is currently under the supervision of Carolyn Metheny, LPC, CPCS.
